The year 2025 will mark a historic turning point for the Municipality of Venise-en-Québec, which will proudly celebrate its 75th anniversary. On this occasion, the public is invited to take part in a year of festivities starting with a grand event: the Winter Carnival.
This Winter Carnival, the perfect family event, will kick off the 75th anniversary celebrations. The enchanting winter atmosphere will take over the Jacques-Gagné Outdoor Recreation Center (279, 23rd West Street), which has been mechanically snowed and transformed into a true winter recreation hub.
On the program for this magical day:
- Three tube slides for thrilling descents,
- Traditional games for young and old, ensuring laughter and shared memories,
- A human-powered carousel for a playful and friendly experience,
- A blown-up igloo creating a resting area,
- A winter bike rally (fatbike),
- A food service and hot beverages,
- A dazzling fireworks show to conclude the day in a spectacular way.
This first celebration will set the tone for the entire year’s festivities, allowing us to celebrate the Municipality’s past while looking to the future. Citizens are invited to join in large numbers for this historic moment and to experience unforgettable moments in a warm, friendly, and festive atmosphere, even in the cold weather.
The year 2025 will also be an opportunity to strengthen community ties and pay tribute to those who have contributed to shaping Venise-en-Québec.
